About This Journal
The Agora is a student-edited, non-technical journal of undergraduate research and creative activity. It is a joint initiative of the New Mexico State University Honors College's Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (CURCA) and the NMSU Library.
Meaning Behind The Name
Our name, The Agora comes from the Greek noun, agorá, referring to a marketplace within the community that served as an open forum for citizens to come together and engage in an expansive range of activities. Likewise, our journal aims to be an interdisciplinary publication in celebration of the diverse community that makes up NMSU. Thus, The Agora was named, as we strive to make it resemble a ‘marketplace,’ of sorts, for ideas and learning.
