Current Volume: Volume 2 (2026)

Welcome to the Second Edition of The Agora!

Team Agora is excited to introduce readers to our second edition, successfully continuing our publication since its inception in 2023. We were lucky enough to select these articles for our second edition from a diverse submission pool, sent to us by the hardworking undergraduate students of NMSU. This time around, we received more submissions than last year! We at The Agora take that as a sign that our journal is growing substantially, and we are just getting started. This second edition has eight articles, ranging from psychology, U.S. healthcare and education, anthropology, music, art, and more. We even have an article that is published in both English and Spanish, marking the beginning of our mission to emphasize the importance of linguistic differences at NMSU. We were also fortunate enough to have one of our editors review a project going on in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, which is Dr. Gain Park’s research on human-computer interactions.

Our team of editors has worked very hard to continue upholding our journal’s vision. And of course, The Agora would not be possible without the support of our wonderful NMSU faculty. Team Agora is immensely grateful to our faculty advisors, Dr. Tracey Miller-Tomlinson and Susan Beck, whose dedication and kindness we operate on. We are also very thankful to each faculty member who helped review the articles.

Working at The Agora has been such a positive and amazing experience for me. I am very honored to have been the founding Editor-in-Chief and to have seen the journal through its first two editions. I am most excited to see the next round of Editor-in-Chiefs make it their own and carry this journal into the future.

For the last time from me, happy reading!
