Abstract

Femicide is a recurring topic in Mexican society due to the concerning rise of cases in past years. This research paper aims to discuss femicides and gender violence in Mexico as a systematic problem. To develop this text, various femicide cases are presented, as well as recounts of the author’s personal experiences living in Mexico. Lastly, the final sections show the unreliability of the Mexican government to resolve the issue of femicides in the country, demonstrating the importance of public involvement in combating gender violence.
