Abstract
Major League Baseball has been exempt from federal antitrust regulation for just over a century. Recent attention has been given to the exemption as the MLB is the only sports organization exempt. The recent focus has raised the question of what a change in the MLB’s ability to have monopolistic practices would mean for American baseball.
