Abstract

In this project, I will present a case study that demonstrates citizens of the Hatch Valley are facing a form of structural injustice. This injustice is rooted in the circumstances of their socio- economic condition affecting the preferences these citizens have on education. I would like to present my qualitative research on the matter as an individual who grew up and attended public school in this community. I will also be facilitating dialogues with other members of the community to create a culturally appropriate definition of flourishing. The intentions with this study are to identify a problem in the community, provide an analysis of the development strategies and how they correlate to the scenario in Hatch, and lastly, suggest routes of intervention.
